Why I made Evnground
The calendar was never really the problem. The uncertainty around it was.
A personal story about trying to make life between two homes clearer and calmer for a child.

Dear fellow parent,
I didn’t set out to build another calendar. I wanted a calmer way to move through the week with my children.
When family life happens across two homes, the ordinary details carry more weight. Who is doing pickup? Where is the handover? Has the school bag moved too? Did a request to swap days become the actual plan-or is it still waiting for an answer?
None of those questions is especially complicated on its own. But keeping the latest answer in your head, in a calendar, and somewhere inside a long message thread creates a constant background uncertainty. Even when everyone is trying their best, it is surprisingly easy for two people to be looking at two different versions of the week.
That uncertainty was the problem I kept coming back to. I wanted one calm, shared place that made the current plan easy to see-and made changes clear before they became the new plan.
A calendar can show a date. What families need is confidence that everyone is looking at the same plan.
Clarity without more back-and-forth
Most calendars are built around events. Co-parenting has events too, but the foundation is the rhythm underneath them: which home a child is staying in, when a handover happens, and what has been agreed when life needs to change.
Evnground is my attempt to make that rhythm visible. Care days sit together across the month. Handovers have a time and place. A proposed change stays a proposal until it is answered, and once it is agreed, both parents see the same updated plan.
It is not meant to replace a conversation. Some things will always be better said by a person. It is meant to reduce the “just checking” messages, the searching, and the need to reconstruct what was decided three days ago.
Built around the child’s week
The most important person in a shared parenting plan is the child living it. They should not need to carry the uncertainty between homes or become the person who remembers where something needs to be next.
A clearer plan will not make every week effortless. But it can make the everyday feel steadier. It can give adults a shared reference point and children more confidence about what is happening next.
What I hope this changes
I hope Evnground helps parents spend less energy interpreting the plan and more energy living it. I hope it makes a last-minute change easier to understand, a handover easier to prepare for, and a busy month easier to hold in mind.
Most of all, I hope it helps families create more calm around the small, repeated moments that shape a child’s week.
This is still the beginning. Evnground is being shaped with care, and with the belief that a little more clarity can make room for a lot more steadiness.
With care,
The Evnground founder
